Come along and join in the fun. Please phone Heather Watt (01995 600830) for further details.

ST MICHAEL’S CHURCH CHOIR

The church choir consists of around 11 people of various ages. The choir is mainly there to lead the singing during the services and we usually sing something during communion.

We tend to sing fairly easy pieces in unison – we don’t do anything too hard!!!

Occasionally we have provided a concert in church but this has always been very light hearted music and songs.

Choir practice usually takes place after the Sunday service.

We are always on the lookout for new members and even if you could only join us occasionally you would be most welcome.

If you are interested in joining the choir or wish to discuss it further, please contact me at one of the church services or by telephone on 07725 805144.

Paul Blaikie
Organist.

ST MICHAEL’S IN BLOOM

We are a group who are proud of our village and try to make it an even nicer place to live in and visit. We are proud of our achievements, winning the Best Kept Village In Lancashire, being Champion Village and several times winning the North West in Bloom Award for villages. Though we are pleased with these awards we really only try to make St Michael’s an even prettier village.

We can be found every Monday evening in summer, planting, weeding, watering or cleaning. It is not all work; we have lots of fun and thoroughly enjoy ourselves making St Michael’s a lovely village to live in. At the moment we are organising The Village Open Gardens weekend which this year will be on July 10th and 11th.

For further information please contact Elizabeth Tyson on 01995 679 233.

Our new pavilion was opened in 2008 and St Michael's known as one of the friendliest clubs around, attracting members from all over the area.

There are teams in both afternoon and evening, some of them for the older members and most of them mixed. The club also has several of its own competitions, an annual trip and social events. Coaching and loan of equipment can be arranged for beginners.
